Mitra Jaya Group Cooperating Hand in Hand in the Fight Against COVID-19

The arrival of COVID-19 has presented the world with unprecedented challenges. Since the first confirmed cases in March 2020, the coronavirus had infected over a million people in Indonesia, killing tens of thousands.

The shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) for health workers had been widely reported. Hospitals in rural and urban areas were forced to be frugal with PPE. The rising cost of PPE was also a contributing factor to healthcare facilities' inability to provide adequate PPE for medical workers.

On the other hand, the coronavirus continued to have a significant impact on economic growth, reducing households' ability to meet their daily needs, especially for those directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In response to the crisis, Mitra Jaya Group donated 5,000 staple food and basic commodities in Jakarta and Medan areas in April 2020. Also donated 500 sets of medical equipment such as ventilators, PPE, and medical masks to RSPAD Gatot Soebroto and 250 complete sets to Melia Hospital.

COVID-19 is having an ongoing impact through 2022 and beyond. However, the pace of support will be ongoing, and Sumber Mitra Jaya Group will be handy to assist in the hour of need.
